As an evocative exploration of sound and silence in a musique concrète fashion, “Imaginary Crisis” captures the essence of suspended moments where the boundary between listening and feeling becomes blurred. This album is a sonic journey that refines the late-night thoughts and sentiments gathered over three years, transforming them into pieces of music that resonate with the echoes of memory and imagination, serving as a portal into a different facet of the mind, where time dissolves and a simple sound object is reimagined into something profound.
Every piece on this album was composed at a different stage of my experimentation with sound. Each instrument was treated not in a conventional way, but as a raw material for sound exploration and as an object capable of producing sound; a medium through which various noises could be extracted. In each piece, the instruments were recorded with a dynamic microphone and processed in a musique concrète fashion, combined with pure tones at different frequencies, weaving together complex layers of auditory experience.
Through these soundscapes, “Imaginary Crisis” visualizes every brief moment, hidden corner of the psyche, fragments of dreams, memories, and emotions that define our inner ecospheres
